Okey. You prolly have seen this game being sold at IT stores. And you prolly too afraid to buy it coz the back description said something about NGage version and you thought it's an emulated game. Just so you know it's really a PC game. I played it some days ago when I got the chance, and I must say it's really an awesome game! Quite everything is a lot better than Ys I & II I reviewed; but then again that's unfair comparison. The game is action/RPG. You control the hero, going through lands and labyrinths defeating monsters, while your little companion carries your stuff (that explains her very huge school bag) and does researches. The game is in Japanese so I can't tell the story. But in-game commands are in english, so ppl should have no trouble playing. I haven't got deep into the game yet (just meeting BOSS #2) so an in-depth review will come later. So far the game is quite linear. You go thorugh one area to another before you gain access to the next. Bosses are guarding each end of area. And the big ones are really.. Big. But there are mazes these areas, and they're not tedious nor too simple so your journey stays interesting. There are many enemies, from natives to skeletons, zombies, blobs, witches, minotaurs, gargoyles, birds etc. and these all have awesome details in 'em. Battle is real-time but isn't dumb slash-'em-up coz you need to consider the element, and approach the enemy at the right angle. This adds to fun when playing leveling up. The graphics are 3D. They're as good, if not better than, PS2 quality. I don't think the requirements are hefty. I have no problem whatsoever playing at highest setting 1024x768 with my secondhand Radeon. Control is simple and effective. Mouse is used for moving and action. Keyboard shortcuts for other things. There's a lot other things I ought to mention, like cards system for stats, weapon experience, magic but I lack the time to post them. Maybe next review. PS. Just to warn you. If you bought the pyrated game then you must know the setup.exe contains spy/adware that installs itself before you know it. Better have Anti-spyware protection enabled before you install the game.
